Joanne Mary (Broadbent) MacLellan, of Wallingford, Pennsylvania, born on March 20, 1931 in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania, to the late Mary Ellen Broadbent and the late Daniel Broadbent, passed away at age 87 on March 27, 2018 in Media, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1948. She married John T. MacLellan, and the couple lived in Strafford, Pennsylvania where they raised five children. Joanne was in the insurance industry at John Hancock as a customer service representative and published a fashion column in the Main Line Times. Joanne was a tremendously giving person, known for her compassion, mercy and caregiving. Throughout her life, she led food drives to feed the hungry, organized auctions to raise money for Catholic schools and helped with countless church activities. Joanne was preceded in death by her husband, John T. MacLellan; son, John MacLellan; and daughter, Moira MacLellan. She is survived by her son, Mark MacLellan; daughters, Erin MacLellan-Myers and Jude MacLellan; and grandchildren, Jacob Myers, Lindsay MacLellan, Meagan MacLellan, Jessica MacLellan, and Jennifer MacLellan. She was a member of Nativity BVM in Media, Pennsylvania. Friends and family may attend calling hours on Wednesday, April 4 at 10 a.m. at Nativity BVM, 30 East Franklin St, Media, Pa. A funeral service, officiated by Father Edward Bell, will follow at 11 a.m. at Nativity Church. Mass cards would be appreciated by the family.
