Charles Edward Tripp, Sr. peacefully passed away March 15, 2018 at the VA Hospice with his loving family. Charles was born in 1953 and raised by his parents the late Fredrick Tripp and Lula Mae (nee Hurd) Van de Water in Dover, DE.
Charles served in the U.S. Air Force from 1972 to 1974 .He moved back to Delaware and did construction with his stepfather, Robert. After his service, Charles moved to Pennsylvania and worked at various jobs until he started his own construction business. He met and married his wife JoAnn King in 1980.
Charles enjoyed video games, listening to music, being outdoors and with his family,making one-liners and telling horrible jokes. He also loved his country as everyone knew where he lived by at least 20 flags flying in his yard. Charles' true passion and love were his wife and children.
Charles leaves his loving wife of 37 years, JoAnn, his loving children, Charles Tripp, Jr, (Michelle Teel), Matthew Tripp and Diana Tripp and his many nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in law, great nieces and nephews and many friends he made over the years in the construction business. Family and friends are invited to his service at 12 p.m. Friday, March 30, 2018 at Whitemarsh Memorial Park located at 1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler, PA 19002. A service will be held at the park.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Cancer Society, Disabled American Veterans or the Wounded Warriors Project. Charles will be truly missed by his loving wife and children. "Good Journey" Charles!
