John Gerald Conboy

John Conboy was born in NYC on May 15, 1943, to the late George V. and Helen (Heslin) Conboy, and grew up in Queens, New York.  After graduating with a degree in accounting from Fairfield University, he joined the family business at Conboy Trucking Inc. in Manhattan.  John was the beloved husband of Judy, the adored father of son Brian & wife Hayley, daughter Kristen & husband Torin, and son Daniel & wife Kim.  He was the cherished grandfather of Kelsey, Gavin, Caden, Morgan, Alexander, and Jacob.  He was the beloved brother, brother-in-law, and uncle to several more family members and treasured friends who will all miss him dearly. 
John and his wife Judy raised their three children in New Jersey, where he served as a volunteer fireman in both Haworth and West Milford, becoming fire chief in 1986.  John’s fifteen years of service as a firefighter fulfilled his passion of fighting fires and his desire to give back to the community. As a proud member of the firehouse, he made many special memories and friendships that would last a lifetime.  John and his family moved to Arizona in 1989, where he was an entrepreneur. In 2012, John and Judy moved to Pennsylvania where John enjoyed spending time with his family.  He will be infinitely missed…

A celebration honoring John’s life is scheduled for September 24, 2017, at King of Prussia Volunteer Firehouse.  Announcement and details to follow.
