John Silvestera, age 86, of Ambler Pa. died March 27 while at home with his loving family by his side. John was born in Lansdale,Pa. on September 10, 1930 son of Mike & Catherine Silvestera. He was married to the love of his life Ruth Musselman from North Wales Pa. for 63 years. They had Five children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who he adored. Family & friends were everything to him. He was a loving, compassionate father and friend who always had others best interest at heart.
John worked for his father's business Mike J. Silvestera concrete contractors in Ambler his entire career. When his father passed he and his brother Mike operated the business until he retired. He enjoyed taking his family to their home in the Poconos where he enjoyed the outdoors. Upon retiring he moved to Punta Gorda Florida where he resided for fifteen years before moving back to Ambler in 2010.
He was a corporal in the US Marines and served in Korea . He was honorably discharged.
John lived a fulfilled life and had no regrets. He served his family, country and his Lord and Savior. He is now in God's loving arms resting in peace with no more pain. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
